Dear DEEP Partners:
We hope you and your families are well.
We have received multiple requests for advice regarding the use of DEEP for online instruction. In general, we allow distance instruction of DEEP, as a temporary measure to maintain participant engagement. However, recording classes and posting them in the web are prohibited.
In these times of uncertainty and need for knowledge, we hope you will find resources from the American Diabetes Association and the Association of Diabetes Care and Education Specialists very useful.
We enclose here the official statement from our offices at the University of Illinois at Chicago that addresses these concerns.
